Art Basel Miami Beach’s Meridians sector is curated by Yasmil Raymond. With over two decades of museum expertise, Raymond brings institutional ambitions to Art Basel Miami Beach’s sector dedicated to monumental artworks. Raymond’s curatorial career includes the Walker Art Center, Dia Art Foundation, and MoMA.

Justne Hill's The Travelers is a large-scale, shaped-canvas installation that blurs the line between painting, sculpture, and symbolic architecture. Originally commissioned by the Cantor Art Gallery at Holy Cross for its Prior Performing Arts Center, this twelve-panel work offers a singular encounter at the scale, ambition, and material experimentation that defines Meridians. In this context, The Travelers becomes not only a visual environment but a portal—a speculative myth of movement, transformation, and the deeply human desire to locate oneself in a patterned universe. The work was most recently on view at Travelers Towers in Southfield, Michigan through Art-in-Buildings in conjunction with the Francis J. Greenberger Collection.
