Justne Hill's The Travelers is a large-scale, shaped-canvas installation that blurs the line between painting, sculpture, and symbolic architecture. Originally commissioned by the Cantor Art Gallery at Holy Cross for its Prior Performing Arts Center, this twelve-panel work offers a singular encounter at the scale, ambition, and material experimentation that defines Meridians. In this context, The Travelers becomes not only a visual environment but a portal—a speculative myth of movement, transformation, and the deeply human desire to locate oneself in a patterned universe. The work was most recently on view at Travelers Towers in Southfield, Michigan through Art-in-Buildings in conjunction with the Francis J. Greenberger Collection.
